Glynn Scores Five in 12-4 Utica Win Over New Paltz Lacrosse

KINGSTON, NY — Kat Glynn (Norwood, MA) scored five goals to lead Utica College to a 12-4 win over New Paltz in the Hawks’ final home game Monday evening at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, NY.

The Hawks opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the game on a goal from Jillian Sheppard (Stony Point, NY) but were unable to score again for the next 20:16. In that time, the Pioneers struck five times with Glynn finding the net three times.

Megan Porter (Massapequa, NY) and Theresa Hayes (Ballston Lake, NY) scored two unanswered goals for the Hawks to go into halftime down 5-3.

Jennifer Munisteri (Merrick, NY) scored twice in the opening two minutes and thirty seconds of the second half before Porter netted her second at the 23:19 to make it 7-4. the Pioneers scored the last five goals of the game from that point, with Glynn and Kristy Patchett (Central Square, NY) scoring twice.

The Pioneers even their record at 6-6 while the Hawks, who travel to SUNYIT tomorrow for a makeup game with Brockport at 4:00 p.m., drop to 1-11.
