NEW PALTZ, NY — Visiting Vassar hit .551 as a team Tuesday and got their second victory over the Hawks this season in a 3-0 (30-26, 30-19, 30-13) win.
Jesse Lam (Honolulu, HI) had 11 kills and hit .529 for the game to lead the Brewers and Jeff Barr (Henrietta, NY) hit .588 and added 10 kills. Will Shapiro (Bala Cynwyd, PA) contributed 31 assists.
For the Hawks, who sink to 3-18 on the season, Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) collected 11 kills and Kevin Buggs (Tonawanda, NY) added 32 assists.
New Paltz next plays Thursday at New Haven at 7:00 p.m.
