New Haven Charges Past New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, NY — The visiting Chargers from New Haven left Elting Gymnasium with a 3-0 win over the Hawks Wednesday night. The game had been postponed from Feb. 18 due to weather conditions in the area.

Neil Mayo (Fort Lauderdale, FL) led New Haven with 12 kills and a .320 hitting percentage and Jonathan Steeves (Trumball, CT) added 11 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. Kris Czaplinski (Shelton, CT) finished the match with 33 assists.

Chris Grunwald (St. James, NY) had eight kills to lead the Hawk attack.

New Paltz will be in action again Sunday at LIU Southampton before returning home for a home match against Queens Tuesday Feb. 25.
