NEW PALTZ, NY — The visiting Mercyhurst Lakers made quick work of their match Friday at Elting Gymnasium, defeating New Paltz 30-18, 30-17, 30-23.
Dave Schmidl (Webster, NY) had 12 kills to lead the Lakers to their fourth victory of the season. Jon Samolis (Lake Zurich, IL) added 27 assists.
Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) had eight kills to lead the Hawks.
New Paltz will be back in action again Saturyday at MIT.
