TROY, NY — The New Paltz men placed 3rd at Rensselaer’s Kumpf Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Hawks finished with 333 points at the seven-team meet behind Ithaca (592) and Rensselaer (391).
Jon Sousa led the Hawks taking first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:02.27 and second in the 1000-yard freestyle.
Kent Yeung was second in the 200-yard individual medley finishing with a time of 2:04.37 and second in the 100-yard freestyle ending the race in 49.38 seconds.
The Hawks are back in action again January 15th at Geneseo.
