POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Senior Jesse Lam (Aiea, HI) had 15 kills and seven digs to lead the Vassar Brewers to a 3-0 victory over New Paltz in men’s volleyball action Tuesday.
Vassar, playing their first match of the 2003 season, move to 1-0 while the Hawks fall to 0-2.
Jeff Barr (Henrietta, NY) added nine kills and three blocks for the Brewers and Will Shapiro (Bala Cynwyd, PA) had 32 assists.
For the Hawks, sophomore Bryan Hartz (Ransomville, NY) had six kills and junior Ian Henderson (Redding, CT) added 11 assists.
New Paltz will be back in action Saturday at Elting Gym against visiting Juniata at 5:00 p.m.
