Blue Knights Drops New Paltz to 7-10

GENESEO, NY – — The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball team dropped to 7-10 overall and 2-6 in the SUNYAC with a 75-47 loss at Geneseo this evening.

The Hawks were held to just 16 field goals and 29 percent shooting (16-of-55) for the game.

Geneseo meanwhile used a hot-shooting first half to build a 38-20 lead at the break. The Blue Knights hit 16-of-30 shots in the opening half and were led by Tara Snavlin who scored 16 of the game-high 18 points in the first 20 minutes.

Kendra Vavrina and Jordan Baker were also in double figures for Geneseo (11-6, 7-1) with 11 and 10 points respectively.

New Paltz was led by junior guard Maura McShane (East Rockaway, NY) who had 14 points and four assists. Senior forward Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) added 12 points and seven rebounds.
