Skidmore Sinks Hawks in OT
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — Skidmore’s Andrea Paulson scored on a three-point play with 13 seconds left to force overtime and the Thoroughbreds outscored the Hawks 10-4 in the extra session for a hard-fought 57-51 win.
The Hawks found themselves up by five points 47-42 with just over a minute to play but could not manage another point in regulation.
Danielle Bonitatibus had 19 points to lead Skidmore and Paulson tallied 13, pulled down 17 rebounds and blocked two shots.
Silver Williams had 14 points to lead the Hawks offensively while Kim Weigel added 12. Both Williams and Weigel also grabbed nine rebounds apiece.
Skidmore improved to 4-3 on the year while the Hawks enter the holiday break at 3-4.
