Murphy Leads Dutchwomen Past Hawks
SCHENECTADY, NY – — Freshman Kristin Murphy scored three goals to lead the Union College Dutchwomen to a 3-0 win over SUNY New Paltz this afternoon.
Murphy’s performance gave Union (1-9) its first win of the season. She scored off a pass from Andrea Mitchell with 9:46 left in the first half to give the Dutchwomen a 1-0 advantage.
Murphy added two more in the second half for the natural hat trick.
The Hawks dropped their third game in a row to fall to 3-10. SUNY New Paltz will take on conference rival Oswego on Saturday (Oct. 19) in Liverpool, NY at 4:30 p.m. The Hawks are 1-2 in league play this fall.
