Late Surge Leads Oneonta Past New Paltz

ONEONTA, NY – — Sanada Mujanovic scored two goals late in the second half to lift Oneonta to a 2-0 win over New Paltz this afternoon.

The win was the 16th straight for the Red Dragons who are now 17-1 overall. Oneonta also closed out their conference schedule unbeaten (10-0) for the fourth consecutive year and raised their SUNYAC winning streak to 46 games. The Red Dragons recorded their 10th conference shutout of the year becoming the first school in the history of the league to not allow a single goal in league play.

Oneonta broke into the scoring column in the 71st minute when Mujanovic floated a ball over the head of Hawks goalie Danielle Herring to give the Red Dragons a 1-0 edge. Four minutes later, Mujanovic scored an unassisted goal to give Oneonta some insurance.

The Hawks dropped to 7-12 overall and 3-6 in the SUNYAC.
