NEW PALTZ – — The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team improved to 8-20 with a 3-0 win over Bard this evening at Elting Gymnasium.
The Hawks, who have now won six of their last seven matches, were led by senior Jackie Goldstein (Port Jervis, NY) who had nine kills, two assists and two blocks. Freshman Christina Mazurowski (Tonawanda, NY) added seven kills and junior Jennifer Hollis (Livingston, NJ) registered 21 assists.
It was the final home match for seniors Goldstein and Heidi Dippel (Levittown, NY). Dippel added four kills and two digs.
Bard dropped to 6-10 on the year. The Raptors are coached by former SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball standout Sean Riley who is in his first-year at the helm.
