Men’s Tennis 8-1 Winners Over Hunter

FLUSHING, NY — New Paltz rolled over Hunter Monday at the National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY 8-1.

The Hawks were victorious in five of the six singles matches and all three doubles matches. In singles play, Brad Breakstone (Mount Kisco, NY), Brian Palmenteri (Howard Beach, NY), Josh Greenspan (North Babylon, NY), and Brandon Goodman (New Paltz, NY) all won in straight sets. Breakstone won 6-3, 6-0, Palmenteri won 6-1, 6-1, Greenspan won 6-2, 6-2, and Goodman won 6-0, 6-2. New Paltz was awarded a fifth win by default. New Paltz #1 Bobby Calise (East Islip, NY) lost in a close three-set match 6-3, 5-7, 3-6 in the remaining singles match.

In doubles Breakstone and Calise won 8-5, Palmenteri and Goodman won 8-1, and a third doubles match was won by New Paltz by default.

The Hawks will be back in action Saturday at Montclair at 1:00.
