Beau Warren Named AVCA Player of the Week For Second Time
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — For the second time this season, Beau Warren has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association/Sports Imports National Player of the Week. Warren was given the honor after guiding the Hawks to a 3-1 record last week.
The Canandaigua, NY native had three triple doubles in four matches, averaging 2.33 kills, 5.29 assists, 0.94 blocks, 2.78 digs, and 0.28 aces over the course of 15 games. Against No. 5 ranked Vassar, Warren hit .474 for the match and had 11 kills, 11 assists, and 10 digs. His second triple double came against East Stroudsburg as he finished the match with 13 kills, 19 assists, and 11 digs in a five- game win. Against, No. 10 ranked Lehman, Warren helped out in a three-game win with 9 kills, 20 assists, 8 digs and 5 blocks and produced 19 kills, 20 assists, 10 digs, and a .429 hitting percentage against New Jersey City.
This is the second time that Warren has been voted the AVCA National Player of the Week. He also received the honor for his exploits for the week ending on February 18th. In addition, Warren just received the Player of the Week for the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association for his impressive performances last week.
