NEW PALTZ — The women’s lacrosse team failed to disappoint their fans Friday as they beat up on conference foe Potsdam 12-2 in their home opener. The win evens their record at 1-1 on the season and gives them a 1-0 record in the SUNYAC conference.
Sophomore Megan Porter (Massapequa, NY) and freshman Mary Warren (Mineola, NY) each had three goals apiece to lead New Paltz. Senior captain Katie Sharp (Mineola, NY), junior Jackie Bunzel (Massapequa, NY), and freshman Alyson Campbell (New Hyde Park, NY) each had two apiece for the Hawks. Senior goalkeeper Adrien Grasso (Oceanside, NY) stopped three shots in the contest.
