Men’s Volleyball Rips No.8 Roger Williams

NEW PALTZ — The all-important rubber match between No.8 ranked Roger Williams and No.9 New Paltz turned into a rout as the host Hawks crushed the visitors 3 games to 0 (30-22, 30-25, 30- 21) at Elting Gym.

Eight days ago, Roger Williams defeated New Paltz in 4 games. The following day was a different story as the Hawks got their revenge defeating RWU in the championship of their own tournament in 5 games.

Beau Warren (Canandaigua, NY) had 35 assists, 11 digs, 5 kills, 1 block, and 1 aces in today’s match while Jason Bateman (Brewerton, NY) added 10 kills, 8 digs, 3 blocks, and 2 aces. Jim Cramer (New Oxford, PA) had 9 kills and 8 assists and Chris Ganje (Rexford, NY) had 9 kills and 6 digs.

Men’s volleyball will take on NYU and D’Youville tomorrow beginning at 1:00 at Elting Gym.
