Lady Hawks Beat Farmingdale
FARMINGDALE — The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball team defeated the Farmingdale Rams Tuesday night by a final score of 84-69 to improve their season record to 4-12.
The Lady Hawks bolted out to a thirteen-point cushion at the half and never relinquished the lead in the second cruising to the fifteen-point victory. New Paltz finished the game shooting 50% from the field and had three players scoring at least twenty points. Junior forward Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) and Sophomore Maura McShane (East Rockaway, NY) each had double doubles in the game. Williams had 26 points and 11 rebounds and McShane had 21 points and 10 boards. Junior Christine Gregory (Wallkill, NY) added 21 points for the Lady Hawks.
New Paltz women’s basketball will next travel to Plattsburgh Friday night to take on the Cardinals beginning at 6:00pm.
