Men’s Cross Country Finishes 9th at NCAA Atlantic Regional

BRONX, NY — The New Paltz men’s cross country team finished 9th as a team at the 2001 NCAA Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday in the Bronx.

Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY) and Chris Tuttle (Poughquag, NY) were the top finishers for the Hawks placing 27th and 31st respectively. Both Goodwin and Tuttle were also chosen for the All-Region Team. This season, Goodwin has been named to the 1st Team All-SUNYAC, All-ECAC, and All-Region Teams.

The women’s cross country team finished 25th out of twenty- seven teams competing in the NCAA Atlantic Regional. Rebecca Demeri (Wantagh, NY) was New Paltz’s top finisher placing 122nd with a time of 22:28.15.
