Women’s Soccer Falls in Overtime

NEW PALTZ — The Women’s Soccer Team lost to powerful Oneonta 1-0 in overtime Wednesday in their final SUNYAC contest of the season. Oneonta entered the match 25th in the nation and unbeaten in their last 13 matches. The Hawks held the Red Dragons scoreless though through regulation and a full overtime period before the game-deciding goal.

Amy DuCharme’s 14th goal of the season in the second overtime was the difference. It was her 9th goal in conference play. New Paltz was outshot in the match 16-6 and goalkeeper Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) made 15 saves.
