Misericordia Defeats Women’s Field Hockey

NEW PALTZ — Visiting Misericordia didn’t take long to get on the boards Wednesday scoring just three minutes into the game en route to a 5-0 victory over New Paltz in Field Hockey. The loss left the Hawks at 2-12 on the season.

The Cougars scored four times in the first half on goals from Megan Lenig, Kim Daniel, Becky Roman, and Becky Finelli. Lenig struck again in the second half to close out the scoring. Goalkeeper Liz Clarke (Stone Ridge, NY) Made 8 saves in the match for the Hawks.

Field Hockey closes out the season Saturday when they travel to William Patterson for an 11:00am match.
