ONEONTA — The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams traveled to the Oneonta Saturday for the Oneonta State Cross Country Invitational.
The Men’s team finished first out of the three teams competing in the four mile run. Eight of the first eleven finishers were from New Paltz. Justin Lee (East Fishkill, NY) led the way for the Hawks finishing 2nd with a time of 23:17. Chris Tuttle (Poughquag, NY) was 3rd coming in at 23:24. And Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY)came in next at 24:00.
The Women’s Team finished third out of the four teams competing in the 4,000-meter race. Rebecca Demeri (Wantagh, NY) finished 7th for the Hawks coming in at 19:11 while Jean Thompson (Bucksport, ME) placed 11th with a time of 19:48.
