University Hosts Free Web Seminar
NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz will host “The 7 Keys to an Effective Web Site,” a free seminar on April 11 that will focus on what it takes to create visually appealing, useful, and easy-to-navigate Web sites.
The seminar will be presented by David Sachs, who is the director of the Hudson Valley Center for Emerging Technology, and assistant dean and professor at Pace University’s School of Computer Science. Sachs is responsible for personal computer, computer science and telecommunications education that is provided for companies around the world, which include AT&T, IBM, MCI, PepsiCo and The Reader’s Digest.
In his role as the director of the Hudson Valley Center for Emerging Technology, Sachs coordinates a collaboration of three academic institutions: Marist College, Pace University and SUNY New Paltz. The center promotes economic development in the region by strengthening the research base in emerging technologies for e-business and supporting businesses in the region as they venture into e-business.
The seminar begins at 7:15 p.m. on April 11 in the Coykendall Science Building Auditorium. Although the seminar is free and open to the public, pre-registration is required. Contact the SUNY New Paltz Center for Continuing and Professional Education at (845) 257-2901 to register.
