Hawks Win Second Straight Women’s Basketball Contest
NEW PALTZ — Britni Bishop had 14 of her game-high 16 points in the second half, as SUNY New Paltz expanded a three-point halftime advantage to a 59-50 final margin over Russell Sage on Wednesday night at Elting Gymnasium.
New Paltz improved to 10-9, with its second straight victory, and third win in its last four games.
Bishop also had six assists in the game, and was one of five Hawk players with three steals. Maura McShane (11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals) also reached double figures for New Paltz.
The Hawks now prepare for a pivotal home SUNYAC doubleheader this weekend against Geneseo (Friday at 6 p.m.) and Brockport (Saturday at 2 p.m.).
