Women’s Basketball Team Gets Back On Track

NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz shot nearly 54 percent in the second half to outdistance Utica/Rome for the second time this season, 63-48, and snap a two-game losing skid on Tuesday night at Elting Gymnasium.

Britni Bishop scored a game-high 20 points and Sonya Mkoloma added 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for New Paltz (8-8 overall, 6-7 SUNYAC). Saltasia Bolling, meanwhile, had 14 points to lead the (3-15 overall, 2-12 SUNYAC) Wildcats.

New Paltz goes back onto the road this weekend, with games Friday (6 p.m. at Buffalo State) and Saturday (2 p.m. at Fredonia).
