JAMAICA — SUNY New Paltz led by eight points at the half, but was unable to hold off a late York College charge, en route to a disappointing 58-55 men’s basketball loss on Tuesday night in Queens.

Senior forward Robert Jones (five rebounds) was the lone Hawk player to reach double figures, with 10 points, while teammates Mario Christian (eight rebounds) and Matt Winter (two three-pointers) chipped in eight points apiece.

Stanley O’Neil (three steals) and Quincy Oudkerk (seven rebounds) each had a game-high 17 points for the (1-2) Cardinals.
