Women’s Soccer Wins Second Straight

NEW PALTZ — Freshman Keegan Peck had two goals and an assist in the first half, as SUNY New Paltz cruised past Stevens Institute of Technology, 6-1, in Saturday’s Homecoming Weekend match.

Kathryn Bart, Michele Branca, Therese Nordlund and Lindsey Reis also scored for New Paltz (3-12), which has won two straight.

Meanwhile, Becky Gonter’s goal with 3:43 remaining put the (4-9-1) Ducks on the scoreboard, and ended New Paltz’s opposition scoreless streak at 210 minutes.

The Hawks, which have four matches remaining this season, travel to defending conference champion Oneonta at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for their final SUNYAC contest, before playing at Bard at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
