The Choral Ensembles of SUNY New Paltz to Perform Music of the Italian Baroque

NEW PALTZ — On Tuesday, November 7, 2000 the Choral Ensembles, directed by Dr. Edward Lundergan, present a program of music from 17th- and 18th-century Italy. The concert, held in McKenna Theatre at SUNY New Paltz, begins at 8:00 PM.

The Chamber Ensembles of SUNY New Paltz comprise three distinct vocal groups: the College-Community Chorale, the Chamber Singers, and the Concert Choir. For this program, they are accompanied by a Chamber Orchestra. The program includes Vivaldi’s Gloria, Pergolesi’s Magnificat, Salamone Rossi’s Synagogue Motets, and a selection of Italian Madrigals. Tickets for the Choral Ensemble are available at the McKenna Theatre Box Office one hour prior to the concert. Ticket prices are as follows: $5 general, $4 seniors and staff, $3 students.
