Tennis Hawks Fall To Montclair State

UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two doubles wins were all that SUNY New Paltz was able to muster in a 7-2 loss to regional women’s tennis power Montclair State on Friday afternoon.

The tandem of Megan Crevioserat and Jennifer Lipp beat the (6-2) Red Hawks’ Kirsten Mattesky and Margaret O’Shea, 8-6, at first doubles, while Rachel Murray and Sarah Schreiber defeated Stacey Fantacone and Christina Thorry by the same margin at third doubles.

The (6-9) Hawks close their season with a 3:30 p.m. match at the City College of New York on Wednesday.
