NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz is pleased to announce that James R. Doran of Augusta, Maine, will soon join the university community as the vice president of advancement. He will arrive at the campus the week of July 24.

“James is a career higher education professional with a wealth of experience in development, alumni relations, legislative affairs, public affairs and institutional planning and research,” said President Roger Bowen. “The search committee saw in him the experience, creativity and energy that will spur the university to meet and exceed its goals, and build on the division’s recent success in reinvigorating the university’s alumni programs as well as strengthening its public and private partnerships.”

Since May 1, Anne Moss, a trustee of the SUNY New Paltz Foundation since 1997, has been the interim vice president for the Division of Advancement.
