Women’s Lacrosse Loses At Rainy Brockport

BROCKPORT — Hat tricks by Stephanie Morris, Melissa Goodenow and Gianina Petri proved to be all the offense that Brockport would need in a 13-3 win over New Paltz in SUNYAC women’s lacrosse on Saturday afternoon in rain-soaked Brockport.

Erin Scherf had one of three New Paltz goals in the contest to extend her consecutive match scoring streak to five games, and tie Katie Sharp for the team lead in scoring (nine goals). Kim Baldwin and Melissa Butterweich also scored for the (0-6 overall, 0-4 SUNYAC) Hawks, while goalkeeper Adrian Grasso made 20 saves in the losing effort.

New Paltz returns to action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. match at Cortland.
