Women’s Tennis Beats Western Connecticut State

NEW PALTZ — Four players won twice as SUNY New Paltz beat Western Connecticut State, 9-0, in women’s tennis on Tuesday at New Paltz’s Air Structure.

The win snapped a five match losing streak for the Hawks, who improve to 2-8.

Rebecca Billow, Denise Cariola, Jennifer Lipp and Barbara Slovak each picked up singles and doubles victories to lead New Paltz past the visiting (2-3) Colonials. New Paltz is back in action at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Mount St. Mary.
