Men’s Soccer Loses at Geneseo

GENESEO — Bad luck again plagued New Paltz in Friday’s 2-0 loss at Geneseo.

The (1-7-1 overall, 1-2-0 SUNYAC) Hawks bounced four balls off the goal frame in the contest, which was their second-straight SUNYAC loss, and third overall loss, after winning their conference opener last Saturday in Potsdam.

Seth Art’s goal just five minutes into the contest held up as the game winner. Charles Allen added an insurance score at 78:00. Kevin Smith made 11 saves for New Paltz in the loss.

New Paltz travels to Brockport for Saturday’s 1 p.m. match. The Golden Eagles beat Utica/Rome 8-3 on Friday.
