SUNY NEW PALTZ SCHOLARSHIP HONORS 1926 ALUMNA

NEW PALTZ — A generous gift from the late Grace E. Elliott of New Paltz will provide merit-based scholarships to students attending the State University of New York at New Paltz.

A life-long resident of New Paltz known for her generosity to many Hudson Valley charities, Ms. Elliott’s $160,000 endowment will be used for the establishment of a scholarship in her mother’s name, Gertrude M. Elliott, a member of the College’s 1926 graduating class.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to one or more students from New Paltz, New York, or Yonkers, NY, who are in their second year of study at SUNY New Paltz. The scholarship will continue to be awarded for the remainder of their course of study at the College providing academic excellence is maintained.
