OSWEGO — Three players in double figures wasn’t enough to overcome a rough shooting night, as SUNY New Paltz lost to Oswego, 60-48, in women’s basketball on Saturday night at Laker Hall.
Silver Williams (13 points, eight rebounds), Maura McShane (11 points, five steals) and Zebi Williams (10 points, six rebounds) combined to shoot 54 percent (15-of-28) from the field, but the rest of the Hawks connected on just three of 27 shots (11 percent) en route to the 12-point loss. Meanwhile, Lara Jones had a game-high 15 points off the bench help Oswego record its second win of the season.
