Want to start a new club on campus? Registration is live now in ENGAGE
The following message was sent to all students via email on March 7
Dear Students,
If you are interested in starting a new Student Association club, the New Club Registration process is LIVE now on ENGAGE until April 1 at 12 p.m.
To start a new club, you must complete the following:
- Confirm that the club you are starting does not exist. Refer to existing clubs’ mission statements on ENGAGE.
- Establish a mission-statement for your club.
- Have at least three executive board members.
a. Required Positions:
I. President: Leads the club, oversees operations, and mediates conflicts.
II. Treasurer: Manages the club’s budget, submits purchase and funding requests, and ensures financial accountability.
III. Council of Orgs Representative: Attends Council of Orgs meetings to receive important updates and represent your club.
b. Optional Positions
I. Vice President, Secretary, Events Coordinator, Social Media Manager, etc.
4. Recruit at least 10 general club members and a list of their names and emails.
5.The club registration process can be accessed on ENGAGE by clicking “Organizations” and “Register an organization.” Click here to see where on ENGAGE you can find the form.
If you are attempting to re-register a club that currently exists, or restart a club that has previously existed, please email me at sa-councilchair@newpaltz.edu. The review process for new clubs will take place on a rolling basis so keep an eye on your email for updates.
