“Past is More than Prologue”: A Distinguished Speaker Series event with Sean Decatur, April 16
The SUNY New Paltz Distinguished Speaker Series proudly presents an evening with the Director of the American Museum of Natural History, Sean M. Decatur, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
The event, titled “Past is More than Prologue,” will be held in Lecture Center 100 at 7 p.m. and concludes with a meet and greet with Decatur.
All are welcome to attend, and pre-registration is required using this link.
Decatur’s talk will center around his experience overseeing a large collection of artifacts, objects and specimens at the Museum of Natural History, and how this collection informs modern scientific dilemmas and offer a prologue into the history of our planet, its biology, and its culture.

General admission is free with a $10 suggested donation to the SUNY New Paltz Foundation, which supports future educational programs for our students.
