Women’s Leadership Summit returns to SUNY New Paltz March 29
The University will welcome more than 40 SUNY New Paltz alumnae back to campus on March 29, 2023, for the 9th Women’s Leadership Summit sponsored by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations co-sponsored by the School of Fine & Performing Arts/Art Aid and Design Week and the Career Resource Center.
All students are invited to attend the professional networking event and are encouraged to seek practical advice and ask questions pertaining to their own career aspirations. Recent New Paltz graduates from 2017-2022 are encouraged to register as well.
“We are so excited to invite our students to engage in lively, informal, career conversations with a number of successful New Paltz alumnae,” said Lisa Sandick, program director for special events and sponsorships at SUNY New Paltz. “It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to seek mentorship from impressive thought leaders who work in their desired profession as well discover ways to find balance between work and life demands.”

Lynne Oldham ’86 (Business Administration), Chief People Officer Stash Financial, and formerly Zoom Video Communications, will serve as the keynote speaker. Her talk titled, “Applying Growth Mindset to Your Own Career and Leadership” begins at 4 p.m. in the Science Hall lobby.
Oldham has 25 years of demonstrated leadership experience driving profitable growth strategies for startups, and private and public companies – domestic and international – across a variety of industries, including 10 years in investment banking. Joining Zoom just prior to its initial public offering in 2019, Oldham navigated continued business scaling and employee engagement as well as safeguarding culture during the pandemic.
Following Oldham’s talk, the summit will be broken into panel discussions led by alumnae and thought leaders corresponding to one of the College’s five schools: School of Business; School of Education; College of Liberal Arts & Sciences; School of Fine & Performing Arts; and School of Science & Engineering.
Last March, the College welcomed 28 women scholars, the vast majority of whom are SUNY New Paltz alumnae, for the summit.
