Office of Employee Relations mandates new ethics training course for all state employees
All New York State employees, including all SUNY New Paltz faculty and staff, must attend an annual Comprehensive Ethics Training Course beginning in 2023, according to a new mandate ratified by the Office of Employee Relations.
The Comprehensive Ethics Training Course (CETC) is a live, 90-minute, instructor-led training that reviews the Public Officers Law and other related ethics laws and regulations.
The Office of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion will begin offering CETC sessions this month to assist faculty and staff in meeting this new state requirement.
Two classroom-based sessions and one remote session will be held on Jan. 20 as part of our annual campus-wide winter trainings. Please see the full trainings course schedule for more information and to sign up.
Faculty and staff who cannot attend on Jan. 20 should please stay tuned to campus email and The Digest newsletter for information about additional CETC training dates later this year.
If you have questions about this new training requirement, please email employeetraining@newpaltz.edu. We thank faculty and staff in advance for adding this new state requirement to their planning for 2023.
