Parking permits for 2022-23 are now available

SUNY New Paltz students, faculty and staff can now purchase their parking permits for the 2021-22 academic year.

New parking permits must be displayed clearly in vehicles parked on campus starting Aug. 15

To buy your permit, log into my.newpaltz.edu and find the link for “Parking Account.” You can also log in using this direct link. Then, follow the prompts to order your permit, submit vehicle information, and process payment.

Parking permits cost $25 for faculty and staff, $80 for students (or $40 per semester) and $100 for Management Confidential employees.

After online purchase, pick up your permit at the Parking Office in Wooster Hall Room 114.

You may also print a temporary permit through the online portal. The temporary permit can be used until Sept. 16, allowing more time to pick up the permanent permit. To print your temporary permit, you must click on the ‘Log Out’ link and then sign back in. Once you sign back in, click “Permits,” then find the current permit and click “View.” You will now be able to print the temporary parking pass. Please make sure that you place the pass on your dashboard.

All parking permits must be purchased online, with limited exceptions for certain campus populations including contractors, retired faculty, teaching assistants, graduate assistants and residence hall complex directors.

If you are unable to purchase online and must purchase your permit in person, please be sure to bring your SUNY New Paltz ID card and your car registration with you to the Parking Office, Room 114, Wooster Hall.

Active military and veteran students should contact the Office of Military/Veteran Services at 845-257-3124 for more information on obtaining their passes at no charge.

Sodexo employees and retired (emeritus) faculty should contact Campus Auxiliary Services at 845-257-3034 for more information on obtaining their passes.

Students who live on campus and have a personal vehicle must purchase a full-year resident permit. Those who live on campus during the fall, but do not return to their campus residence for spring 2022, can get a refund for half the cost of a full-year permit by returning their parking pass to the Parking Office by Jan. 31, 2022.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parking Office at (845) 257-3347.
