ONEONTA — Despite many close races, the SUNY New Paltz Swimming and Diving teams lost both the men’s and women’s meets, 158-69 and 135-104, respectively, at perennial swim power Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon.
Lauren Grzetic won both diving events, and Erin Lalor won the 50 Freestyle and 200 Breaststroke, to highlight the women’s meet for New Paltz (0-1). Meanwhile, Jeff Galaise (200 Backstroke) and Jon Amoia (200 Breaststroke) each won races for the (0-1) Hawk men.
New Paltz returns to action on Friday, when it hosts Oneonta for a 4 p.m. dual meet at Elting Natatorium.
