Faculty & staff: Please complete compliance reviews by Feb. 26

February is Compliance Review Month at SUNY New Paltz, and the Office of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion is asking all faculty and staff to complete the annual Policy & Procedure Acknowledgement, Workplace Violence Prevention Review, and Title IX/Sexual Harassment Review by Friday, Feb. 26.

We also ask employees to review and update their contact information through Employee Self-Service.

Additionally, SUNY will be conducting its biennial Uniform Campus Climate Survey this month, and we ask all members of our community to consider completing that as well. The survey will be delivered from a suny.edu email address beginning the week of Feb. 15.

Please remember that these reviews must be completed each calendar year – all employees must participate in the compliance review for 2021, even if they completed these processes in 2020.

All required reviews can be completed by vising my.newpaltz.edu. See below for more detailed instructions.

Policy and Procedures Acknowledgement

When you log on to my.newpaltz.edu anytime on or after Monday, Feb. 8, you will see the annual “Policies & Procedures, Employment Resources, and Important Information Acknowledgement Statement,” which includes a listing of this information, a link to the Policies & Procedures web page, and a link to download a policy document which you can keep as a reference.

After reviewing the information, please click on the check box at the bottom of the screen, next to “I acknowledge that I have received this information.”

Please note: If you prefer to review these policies before you sign, you have the option of skipping this step for now and affirming that you have received the information at a later time.

Workplace Violence Prevention and Title IX/Sexual Harassment Review

New York State requires all state employees, including all full-time and part-time faculty, staff and volunteers, to complete the Workplace Violence Prevention Review and the Title IX/Sexual Harassment Review every calendar year.

United University Professions-represented employees must also complete the Title IX and Clery Act Reporting Training module annually. This includes full-time and part-time faculty and professional staff.

Please be sure to enter your full first and last names and your New Paltz email address on the quizzes in order to ensure that your completion is recorded. Each module will take about 30-45 minutes.

You do not need to send us your quiz results. The system will submit your results to the Employee Training mailbox. (We recommend that you save copies of your quiz results confirmations.)

** NOTE: If you are unable to review the quizzes due to accessibility issues, please send an email to employeetraining@newpaltz.edu and we can provide them to you as a Word document.
