CircleIn is now live! Download the new, peer-to-peer study app today

The best way to stay connected with other students in your classes this semester is CircleIn, a National Science Foundation-supported study app that makes it easier for students to build digital communities and collaborate.

It just takes a minute to download CircleIn and get started.

Instructions for Students:

  • Use this link to download the app to your device, or use the desktop version
  • Open the app and search for SUNY New Paltz to get to the log-in page
  • Enter your credentials using your @newpaltz.edu email address
  • Select Authorize and get started!

CircleIn is new to SUNY New Paltz for 2021. The app empowers students to quickly set up group chats and video meetings, share notes, create flashcards and ask and answer questions in each of their courses. They can also connect with Center for Student Success-trained tutors for additional support in specific courses.

CircleIn provides benefits for faculty, too, including a suite of resources for reaching out to students in their classes.

Instructions for Faculty:

  • Use this link to access your courses on the CircleIn dashboard
  • Select SUNY New Paltz and enter your credentials using your @newpaltz.edu email address (please note: the faculty log-in site is different from the student log-in site)

CircleIn is designed to create peer-to-peer academic support that has been demonstrated to positively influence student outcomes. These practices are particularly valuable in the current era of remote teaching and learning, when many students are physically separated but still looking for ways to work together and learn from one another.
