Women’s Volleyball Drops to New Jersey City and Stevens

HOBOKEN, NJ — The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team traveled to Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks faced New Jersey City at 1:00 pm and Stevens at 3:00pm and finished with two losses on the day.
The Hawks claimed game one (30-26) and four (30-22) but dropped game two (31-29), three (30-22) and five (15-8) to New Jersey City. Senior Kim Clouston led the way for the Hawks with 16 kills and 20 digs. Amanda Brown finished with 14 kills and junior Katie Becofsky dished out 47 assists.
SUNY New Paltz dropped 3-0 to Stevens (30-22, 30-20, 30-21). Senior Franchesca Rodriguez led the way with eight kills and five digs.
The Hawks will return to action when they travel to Brockport for the SUNYAC Championship Tournament. SUNY New Paltz will face the Oneonta/Geneseo winner on Friday November 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
