On-campus testing continues Dec. 2 at Awosting Hall

SUNY New Paltz will conduct COVID-19 pool testing on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Awosting Hall.

The Dec. 2 testing is mandatory for the small number of New Paltz students who are still living on campus, as SUNY is requiring campuses to continue testing students who remain in residence halls. These students have been instructed to come for testing between 1 – 2 p.m.

Faculty, staff and students who live off campus are welcome to come for testing from 2 – 4 p.m., but pre-registration is required. Please email Keith Kenney at kenneyk@newpaltz.edu to register. The testing hours may be expanded based on demand.

Please be sure to create your account prior to appearing for testing if you have not already done so. You will need to provide insurance information. When the app asks “Do you have a test kit?” you’re ready to go get tested (the kit will be provided at the testing site).

You will need to bring your SUNY New Paltz ID and a mobile device to the testing site. The device is used to scan the testing kit’s code and link your test to your account.

To ensure accurate results, you must not eat, drink, smoke or vape within 30 minutes prior to your test, and must not brush teeth or use mouthwash within three hours prior to your test.
