Library to close until further notice

SUNY New Paltz is publishing important messages and news updates related to the College’s response to COVID-19 on the campus news website. Use this link to view all these posts in one place.

The update below was shared on Thursday, March 19.

Campus community members can view updates at the Coronavirus Information and Coronavirus FAQs webpages, which are being updated regularly as this situation evolves.

As a result of the most recent guidance from the Governor and SUNY, we are taking additional steps to ensure employees are working remotely and to ensure reducing employee density by 75% where possible.

Therefore, effective 5 p.m. today, March 19, the Library will be closed until further notice.

Library staff will continue to provide service and support to our faculty and students under our system of remote teaching and learning for all classes. For help finding online resources visit E Resources for Online Learning. For all other remote services and support please access Ask A Librarian online or by calling (845) 257-3710.

Students who remain local or who remain in our residence halls will have alternative spaces available for studying. Computer labs on campus remain open for those who need to access internet connectivity or a computer or specialized software.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Mark Colvson, Dean of the Library
Barbara Lyman, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
