Norris Leads Hawks Past Fredonia, 63-54
FREDONIA, NY — Junior forward Tarah Norris (Port Jervis, NY) came off the bench to score 15 points and helped lead SUNY New Paltz to a 63-54 conference win over Fredonia this afternoon.
Norris was 6-of-9 from the field to pace four Hawks in double figures. Senior forward Lindsay Dakin (Andover, CT) also came off the bench to score 11 points with three, three-point field goals.
Junior forward Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) and freshman guard Kelley Germain (Albany, NY) were also in double figures with 10 points each.
SUNY New Paltz has now won four of its last five games and is now 5-7 overall and 2-3 in the SUNYAC.
Fredonia (5-7, 0-3) was led by Heather Martin who had 18 points.
The Hawks will enjoy six days off before facing conference rival Oswego on Friday evening (Jan. 23) at 6:00 p.m. in Elting Gymnasium.
