Dr. Maya Angelou event rescheduled for Dec. 3
NEW PALTZ — Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Maya Angelou’s Nov. 13 visit to the State University of New York at New Paltz campus has been rescheduled to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Elting Gymnasium.
All tickets are transferable. Refund requests must be received before Nov. 21. If refunds are needed, please go to the office of College Activities on the second floor of the Student Union Building (SUB 209) or send a letter in writing to: College Activities, SUB 209, State University of New York at New Paltz, 75 S. Manheim Blvd., Suite 9, New Paltz, NY 12561.
Angelou is a well-known poet, educator, historian, best-selling author, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director. She has authored 12 best-selling books, including “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and her current best-seller, “A Song Flung Up to Heaven.”
Tickets will go back on sale this Tuesday, Nov.11, in the Student Union Building Information Center. Tickets for SUNY New Paltz students are $5; faculty and staff $10; all others $20 and front row seats are $30. Tickets will be on sale from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
