Hogan and Margolis-Pineo Lead Vassar Past New Paltz

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – — Junior Sarah Margolis-Pineo (Portland, ME) and freshman Kristin Hogan (Ellicott City, MD) each had four goals to lead Vassar to a 20-2 win over New Paltz this afternoon.

Hogan collected two goals and an assist less than five minutes into the game as Vassar built a 16-0 lead at the half.

Junior Celine DeCarlo (Buffalo, NY) chipped in two goals for Vassar who improved to 3-5.

Sophomore attack wing Mary Warren (Mineola, NY) and freshman attacker Theresa Hayes (Ballston Lake, NY) each had a goal for New Paltz who was playing its third game in five days. The Hawks are now 0-3.

Junior Sarah Lackay (Brick, NJ) made seven saves for Vassar. Senior Lisa Bizzarro (Lindenhurst, NY) had nine stops for the Hawks.
