KRISTIN BACKHAUS has been appointed Dean of the School of Business.
JASON BATES (Telecommunications) has been promoted to Instructional Support Associate.
DANIEL BELASCO (museum curator) has won the award for Best Time-Based Format, Second Place from the International Association of Art Critics, United States (AICA-USA) for his curation of Mary Reid Kelley’s “Working Objects and Videos” exhibit at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art.
TED CLARK (School of Business) was recognized with the American Marketing Association (AMA) Lifetime Achievement Award at the 37th annual AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
LAURA DULL (Secondary Education) was named a 2015 Keizai Koho Center Fellow by the National Association of Japan-America Societies.
CHERRYL ELLIOTT (Facilities Operations) has been promoted to Janitor.
GORDANA GARAPIC (Geology) has been awarded a $63,775 grant from the National Science Foundation for her project entitled “CSEDI Collaborative Research: Anelastic Properties of the Earth from Seismic to Tidal Timescale.” Garapic has also been awarded a $9,603 grant from Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her project entitled “Comparison of the Melt Distribution in the Natural Analogues to Experimentally Produced Microstructures.”
GLENN GEHER (Psychology) was featured on the nationally-syndicated radio program “The Academic Minute,” speaking about his research on Neanderthal DNA.
VALERIE MCALLISTER (Academic Affairs) has been promoted to Academic Program Specialist.
DAVID MOORE (Facilities Operations) has been appointed as Cleaner.
JENNIFER MOKREN has been appointed Dean of the School of Fine and Performing Arts.
JARED NELSON (Electrical, Mechanical & Computer Engineering) has been awarded a $23,147 grant from the SUNY Research Foundation Networks of Excellence for his project entitled “MAM Networks: Processing-Structure-Properties-Performance Relationship for Fused Deposition Modeling Materials.”
CAMILLE SUCKIE (Financial Aid) has been promoted to Senior Financial Aid Advisor for Work Study & Scholarships.
MARTHA TECK (Development) has been promoted to Agency Program Aide.
EVE TUCK (Educational Studies) was named a 2015 William T. Grant Foundation Scholar, and will receive funding for her research into the education of migrant youths.
