Goodwin, Lee Claim Top Spots at Seton Hall Meet

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — New Paltz track and field traveled to the Seton Hall Last Chance Meet in New Jersey Sunday winning two individual races and one relay.

Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY) finished 1st in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:33.99. Goodwin crossed the tape a second and a half ahead of the next competitor from Syracuse University. Justin Lee (East Fishkill, NY) placed first in the 800 meters at 2:00.53 (.51 seconds ahead of the 2nd place finisher from Seton Hall), and the men’s distance medley relay team finished first in their race at 10:56.40. In the victory, the Hawks finished ahead of Syracuse University and Adelphi.

Stephanie Ramsey (Shelton, CT) was the top finisher on the women’s side placing 12th in the 200 meters with a time of 30.18.

Track and field next travels to Tufts University for the ECAC Championships on March 2nd.
