School of Business launches new Cannabis On-Demand Workshop to support dispensary owners and operators in New York’s emerging market
As New York’s adult-use cannabis industry continues to expand, the School of Business at SUNY New Paltz is meeting the moment with a comprehensive, fully online Cannabis On-Demand Workshop, designed specifically for dispensary owners, operators and retail professionals seeking to build and manage successful, compliant cannabis businesses.
Developed over the past year, the Cannabis Workshop provides self-paced, expert-led training focused on the management and administrative skills that are key to long-term success in this growing industry: compliance with New York State regulations, effective retail operations, supply chain optimization, taxes, reporting, and workforce development, among other topics.
“This program offers real-world guidance for dispensary owners and managers who are navigating a fast-changing regulatory landscape,” said Lori Krzeminski, program lead at SUNY New Paltz. “We’ve created an accessible, affordable way to gain the foundational knowledge needed to build and scale a compliant and sustainable cannabis business.”
Developed in collaboration with industry leaders and legal and financial experts, the workshop is tailored for individuals currently operating—or planning to launch—licensed dispensaries in New York’s regulated cannabis market. It is available now at a cost of $250 and can be completed in about 3 hours.
